The Foundation for the AIDS Monument is comprised of volunteer Board members who share a passion for ensuring that the history of the AIDS epidemic, both locally and nationally, is chronicled and preserved for younger generations.

Barry Dale Johnson

Barry Dale Johnson is Senior Vice President of National Publicity for Searchlight Pictures, supervising publicity and awards campaigns for films including Nomadland, The Favourite, Three Billboards, and 12 Years a Slave. Prior to his role at Searchlight, Johnson worked at ID Public Relations and served as an awards consultant for Searchlight and 20th Century Fox on campaigns including The Devil Wears Prada, Little Miss Sunshine, The Last King of Scotland, Juno, and Slumdog Millionaire. Johnson graduated from the University of Texas Austin with Valedictorian Honors, and served as a film and book critic at The Austin Chronicle prior to moving to Los Angeles. He serves on the Executive Committee for the Public Relations and Marketing Branch of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and was previously a Board Member for BAFTA New York.
