2022 Dance Festival to Benefit FAM

The inaugural Dance for Life dance festival will be held in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 23 — tickets are available now!

Proceeds from this event will support STORIES: The AIDS Monument.

The dance festival will include a matinee performance at 2:00 p.m. and an evening performance at 7:00 p.m. at the Ebony Repertory Theatre at the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center (4718 W. Washington Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90016).

Dance for Life will feature performances from:

· Complexions Contemporary Ballet
· Jacob Jonas Company
· Lula Washington Dance Theater
· Luminario Ballet
· Lyrik Cruz Dance
· BalletRED

Co-host of the event will be dance legend Debbie Allen, founder of the Debbie Allen Dance Academy, the winner of five Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe award, and the recipient of the Television Academy’s 2021 Governors Award at the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards.

The event co-chairs are Desmond Richardson, founder of Complexions Contemporary Ballet company and a former principal dancer at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and Phill Wilson, FAM’s former Vice-Chair and the founder and former CEO of the Black AIDS Institute.

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Foundation for The AIDS MonumentSt. John’s Community Health Center, and the AMAAD Institute.
